In 2014, Brent Eaton made four major promises when he campaigned to be Hancock County’s Prosecutor, and he’s kept those promises. Prosecutor Eaton kept his word to bring fiscal responsibility to the office, and as a result has saved the county more than $100,000. He created a Victim’s Assistance Division to ensure victims’ voices are heard in the justice system. The new division keeps victims up-to-date about the latest developments in his or her case. Prosecutor Eaton promised to work with local law enforcement agencies throughout the county and has done so by chairing three meetings each year with these groups. Finally, Prosecutor Eaton promised to be a regular presence in the courtroom, and he works in Hancock County’s three courts multiple days per week and actively participates in jury trials.
Prosecutor Eaton keeps his promises, and the results of his term in office speak to the progress the county has made in prosecuting criminals while supporting victims, all while saving the county tens of thousands of dollars.
